The Fallingstar Beast can be spotted in three locations in Elden Ring:

  • Southwest the Outer Wall Phantom Tree Site of Lost Grace in Altus Plateau
  • The Full Grown Fallingstar Beast is southwest of the Ninth Mt. Gelmir Campsite bonfire in Mt. Gelmir

The way to Caelid is a bit challenging, as it's filled with enemies and mini-bosses that inflict Scarlet Rot. An easier way to reach Sellia Crystal Tunnel is by activating the trap inside Dragon-Burnt Ruins southeast Church of Elleh. The trap will transport Tarnished inside one of the tunnel's small wooden shacks.

How To Beat The Fallingstar Beast In Elden Ring

fallingstar beast floating in the air in elden ring

Most of the Fallingstar Beast's attacks deal a decent amount of damage. Additionally, some of them are almost unavoidable, giving players a tight timing to react, which can prove to be a hassle especially in a small arena. To beat the Fallingstar Beast, here are some tips to react to some of its attacks:

When the boss jumps and floats in the air, roll to the right. If players are close to the boss, then roll through it.

Its tail sweep attack deals heavy damage and grows in size so try to roll through it.

The beast will charge towards Tarnished multiple times, so keep a safe distance, dodge the first two, and try to land a few hits after the third one.

When its pincers glow purple, the Elden Ring boss is charging for ground attacks that target players from underneath. Sprint away from the first two attacks, then roll through the third, as it's more of an AoE attack.

If the Fallingstar Beast starts clicking its pincers in a grabbing motion, then it is probably better to dodge or roll away before getting caught. If players dodged this move there's still another that follows.

The next move is the boss doing a gravity slam attack. It's best to keep the boss against the wall, so players can run away from this attack. If the beast is in the middle of the room, then the blow is unavoidable. For open areas, use Torrent to run away from the attack.

Lastly, the laser beam attack can be easily dodged by running towards the boss. Keep in mind that although the Fallingstar Beast uses the same attacks in all three locations, each one varies from the other. For example, the Fallingstar Beast in Altus Plateau doesn't use any of the gravity and lightning attacks, whereas the one in Caelid and Mt. Gelmir uses them. Additionally, the Fallingstar Beast in Sellia Crystal Tunnel can only be fought inside a small arena, while the other two are located in an open area where Torrent can be mounted.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
