While Elden Ring players explore The Lands Between, there will be many different kinds of enemies to interact with. Most of them will die normally when players lower their health bar to zero, but some opponents will not go down the first time they "die," and those enemies are skeletons.

Skeletons will be found roaming around Elden Ring's massive open-world, and can typically be found around graveyards or abandoned areas. They're usually not that hard to deal with in a fight, but the thing that can make them annoying is the fact that they can quickly come back to life even after being defeated. But, there is a way to kill them for good, and it's actually not that hard to figure out.

How to Kill Skeletons in Elden Ring

When skeletons get defeated in Elden Ring, they will drop to the ground, and a glowing light will appear. This means the skeleton is being revived, and it will keep happening unless players attack the skeleton before it comes back from the dead. If players target the skeleton body on the ground with a click of the right control stick, they can easily attack it with their weapon of choice, and the skeleton will finally be gone for good.

Elden Ring players will know that the skeleton is dead once they receive Runes. If players don't get Runes after defeating a skeleton enemy, then they should watch their back, as the opponent is not done with just yet.

If Elden Ring players happen to be fighting against a mini-boss enemy called Tibia Mariner that sails around in a ghostly ship, then they can defeat her to get rid of the surrounding skeletons for good. There's really no use in trying to get rid of the skeletons while fighting her because they will just keep coming back to life and she'll summon more from the earth.

The best way to deal with a Tibia Mariner is to ride on their horse Torrent and slash at her while running past. This allows players to get strong hits without getting hit by her close-range water attacks. It may take time to whittle her health down, but it's the safest method for the encounter.

Elden Ring is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
