The Fell Omen can be found by heading north from Limgrave to Stormhill. Players need to be careful as there are tons of enemies surrounding the area. First, walk up the path from the Stormhill Shack Site of Lost Grace. Using Torrent the Spirit Steed will help immensely in traveling as the horse is much faster and offers some interesting combos while fighting.

The closest Site of Lost Grace is inside a hallway of the castle. But beware, there are many Soldiers and Nobles of all kinds guarding the entrance. For minimal damage, the tarnished can kill these enemies near the entrance by sneaking from behind and backstabbing them for an easier kill. After clearing the camp, enter the hallway and keep walking until reaching Margit's location.

How To Beat Margit, The Fell Omen In Elden Ring

Acquiring the Lone Wolf Ashes from Renna at the Church of Elleh is a crucial step to defeating this boss. It's a Spirit Summon that consumes FP and calls three wolves to fight alongside the tarnished. Every wolf has its own health bar that appears on the left side of the screen. They are great at distracting Margit, which helps players land a few hits on the boss while he fights the wolves.

Players who use magic or bows need to take advantage of long-range attacks. Margit tends to have an unexpected set of moves and is surprisingly agile. Using the Lone Wolf Ashes will give players time to fire arrows or cast a spell multiple times. Beast Claw and Glintstone Stars are great options for beating this boss since they deal decent damage. Shortbow users may have a hard time fighting Margit, so keep avoiding hits and launch arrows when he's distracted.

Margit the fell omen receiving a visceral attack in elden ring

Melee users are going to suffer a bit from this fight in Elden Ring. Before facing this boss, make sure to equip a tanky armor, like the Crucible Set. Players would want to Initiate the boss fight after enough exploration, gaining enough experience and items for the boss fight. In addition, here are a few tips the tarnished can use:

  1. Wait for his attack combo to end before attacking
  2. Margit is vulnerable to parry, try to use it often
  3. Attack when Margit is distracted by the wolves (or is vulnerable)
  4. Land visceral attacks when he staggers

Also, keep a close eye on stamina to evade any incoming attacks. Some of Margit’s combos are difficult to dodge, like the glowing hammer hits. When he leaps into the air with the hammer, the tarnished can roll through it and attack Margit a few times while he's stuck in the landing animation. But as Souls games taught everyone, don't be greedy.

Additional Tips To Beat Margit, The Fell Omen

sorcerer Rogier getting summoned and dying in elden ring

Calling for backup is a legit way to take down the Fell Omen. Outside the fog, players can see a Summon Sign on the right. Upon using it, an NPC called Sorcerer Rogier will appear and help fight the main boss. Although he's a great aid and can cause a decent amount of damage, Rogier is still an NPC, which makes it difficult for him to dodge properly and heal himself. Thus, he dies rather quickly and will leave players all alone.

Furlcalling Finger Remedy and erdleaf flower in elden ring

Luckily, there's an item in Elden Ring that helps players summon fellow online tarnished friends to aid them in their fight. This item, Furlcalling Finger Remedy, can be dropped by an enemy or crafted using the Crafting Kit. To craft it, the tarnished will require Erdleaf Flower, an item that can be found scattered across the wild of the Lands Between. As for the kit itself, it’s obtainable from Merchant Kalé in the Church of Elleh.

Upon using the Furlcalling Finger Remedy, gold Summon signs will start to appear outside Margit's location. The tarnished can summon up to two Co-op players. Sorcerer Rogier's sign will disappear after the second summon arrives. Note that in Co-op mode, the Lone Wolf Ashes Summon cannot be used.

After beating Margit, the Fell Omen, a Site of Lost Grace will appear in his location and he will drop 1200 Runes and a Talisman Pouch. The latter is a Key Item that will increase the number of Talisman players can equip.
