As players progress through Elden Ring, they'll come up against some truly challenging bosses in the form of Demi-Gods. These storyline (and optional in some cases) big bads will test players' skills and reward them by dropping Great Runes, specialized items that can then be activated to use alongside Rune Arcs for a powerful boost to a variety of things. Unfortunately, getting the Great Rune from a Demi-God is only one part of its activation.

Those looking to activate every Great Rune will have to discover the corresponding Divine Towers sprinkled across the Lands Between. Some of them are much easier to find than others, and one, in particular, holds the Great Rune activation spot for two Demi-Gods; Morgott and Mohg. Here's how players can get to the location and activate the powerful runes for these bosses after they defeat them in Elden Ring.

Where To Find Morgott And Mohg In Elden Ring

MohgMorgott

The first step in activating the runes for these two Demi-Gods is to unlock them by defeating the bosses themselves. This is easier said than done as Morgott and Mohg are both rather powerful and exceedingly difficult for some players. Here's where the two Demi-Gods reside in the Lands Between.

Morgott, The Omen King

Elden Ring Morgott Location

Players that want to make it to Morgott will first have to traverse the difficult Leyndell, Royal Capital. It's quite the long and perilous journey after players have entered the city's walls. Once they make it to the West Capital Rampart Site of Grace, they'll know they're close. From there, players can exit a door to the Southwest and hop down to the right, onto an old horse stable. From there, they can climb the massive Erdtree root ahead of them and wind along its path until coming to a balcony and a waiting boss door. Here, players will need to face the ghost of the First Elden Lord, Godfrey. After defeating the boss, they can move up to the Queen's Bedchamber Site of Grace and then up the long stairs from there to face Morgott, The Omen King.

Mohg, Lord of Blood

Elden Ring Mohg Location

Getting to Mohg is a bit more convoluted as players will need to enter a hidden zone known as Mohgwyn Palace. Players can either progress White-Faced Varre's quest and use the Pureblood Knight's Medal to instantly teleport there or use a Waygate in the Consecrated Snowfield, located Northwest of Yelough Anix Ruins. Once players have made it to Mohgwyn Palace, they'll want to progress until they find the Dynasty Mausoleum Midpoint Site Of Grace. From there, it's a short journey up the staircase and to the right to ride a large elevator up to where Mohg's boss room is.

How To Activate Morgott's And Mohg's Great Runes In Elden Ring

Elden Ring To Divine Tower

Once players have both Morgott's and Mohg's Great Runes, they'll want to head to Leyndell, Royal Capital, and progress to reach an elevator leading out of the city and into the Forbidden Lands towards the Grand Lift of Rold. If players ride this elevator up and look to the right instead of progressing out the door and into the snowy zone, they'll notice a large bridge extending towards a massive tower.

Players will need to be careful as they progress across the bridge towards the tower as they'll be trapped in a dark arena by twin bosses, the Fell Twins. Once defeated, players can then enter the tower and use the elevator to reach the top. There, they will find the Great Rune activation spots for both Morgott's and Mohg's Great Runes.

What Do Mohg's And Morgott's Great Runes Do?

Elden Ring Mohgs Great Rune

Once players have activated these runes, they can sit at any Site of Grace and choose to equip them, in which they will become active whenever players use a Rune Arc. Using Mohg's Great Rune will apply the Blessing of Blood to any of the player's summoned Spirit Ashes. This blessing causes them to gain a damage buff whenever Bloodloss is inflicted on an enemy in the vicinity and any enemy they kill near the player will heal the player for 10 percent of their maximum health.

Morgott's Great Rune is a bit more straightforward. It will greatly buff a player's health, by a multiplicative of 25 percent. What's even better is that this effect can even take place after players have used buffs and talismans to gain additional health, making the effect even stronger.

Elden Ring is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
