Elden Ring introduces a lot of new mechanics and unfamiliar systems to FromSoftware's traditional RPG formula, but that doesn't mean everything is completely original. Several items throughout Elden Ring serve the same function as items from games past, one of which is the Green Turtle Talisman.

The Green Turtle Talisman works like a Chloranthy ring from the Dark Souls series as it slightly increases a player's ability to regenerate Stamina. This can be useful in a lot of situations for a lot of builds, and is therefore a great go-to Talisman when you can't decide what to equip.

What Does The Green Turtle Talisman Do?

  • "Turtles are known as a nutritious ingredient, symbolic of inexhaustible power... those who hold turtles to be wise creatures consider the practice of eating their meat to be barbarous."

The Green Turtle Talisman's effect is to raise Stamina recovery speed. You might be thinking to yourself that Stamina already regenerates fast already in Elden Ring, but even this slight boost can make the difference between being able to dodge a surprise follow-up attack and taking it head-on.

This effect stacks with others like it, like the Turtle Shield that can be found elsewhere in Limgrave, which combined give a player a massive boost to their Stamina regen. It's not just useful for dodging, it's also great for blocking. Holding a block makes Stamina regenerate much more slowly, which can be mitigated by equipping this Talisman.

Where To Find The Green Turtle Talisman

The Green Turtle Talisman can be found in northeast Limgrave on the outskirts of Summonwater Village. Head to the Saintsbridge Site of Lost Grace and head directly east, or to the Third Church of Marika Grace and head north, to find this village. This is also where the Tibia Mariner can be defeated to progress D's questline, but avoid this for now and head to the back of the Village.

There is a small building with an Imp Statue surrounded by a handful of Turtles. Activate this Imp Statue with a Stonesword Key and head underground to find a large stone room absolutely filled with Turtles. The Talisman can be found in a chest at the back of the room – don't worry, none of the Turtles turn hostile.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
