Elden Ring weapons range from simple daggers to colossal, extravagantly designed Greatswords. The Grafted Blade Greatsword isn't the first Greatsword players find in Elden Ring, and its high stat requirements prevent most players from being able to use it until the late game. Nevertheless, fashion isn't the only reason you should get this blade.

The Grafted Blade Greatsword is actually tied to a quest, too, which won't progress until the player collects it and brings it to a specific NPC. This quest initiates by talking to Irina at the Bridge of Sacrifices, who leads the player to talk to her father, the commander of Castle Morne. The Grafted Blade Greatsword is a storied weapon indeed.

The Grafted Blade Greatsword is an incredibly heavy weapon, with some of the highest stat requirements for an armament found so early in the game. It starts off with C Strength scaling, though, which can be upgraded by using Somber Smithing Stones, and the 40 Strength starting requirement makes it even more powerful when you finally are able to equip it.

The special ability that comes with this sword is Oath of Vengeance, which increases all the player's stats temporarily upon use. Because it is a unique legendary weapon, though, new Ashes of War cannot be infused with it, and likewise, Oath of Vengeance cannot be removed from it. Not that you would want to replace it with anything else, as it is a very versatile skill.

Where To Get The Grafted Blade Greatsword

Elden Ring Grafted Blade Greatsword Guide Leonine Misbegotten Boss Room Location

The Grafted Blade Greatsword is found at the end of Castle Morne as a reward for defeating the Leonine Misbegotten. Head to the Weeping Peninsula, in southeast Limgrave, and continue south along the road to find the Castle. After getting through the courtyard and climbing some walls, a Lost Grace can be found on the cliff behind the Castle.

Touch this Site of Lost Grace and then continue down the cliffside. You will need to be careful with jumps here, as there are a few places where it is easy to mis-time your inputs and fall extremely far. At the very bottom of this lengthy cliffside area is a Fog Gate surrounded by jellyfish and open water. Head inside, defeat the Leonine Misbegotten boss, and lay your hands upon this storied blade. Remember to progress Irina and Edgar's questline, as the Grafted Blade Greatsword is directly intertwined with progressing their story.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
