There are a lot of NPCs in Elden Ring who only sell certain items after you give them something to learn from first. Sorcery Scrolls are used to unlock new Sorceries with certain spellcaster vendors throughout the Lands Between. For Incantations, Prayerbooks serve the same function, unlocking new spells for Faith-based players to purchase from one of two priestly NPCs.

The Godskin Prayerbook is one that can be found in Stormveil Castle, but not in any place that players would normally come across. It unlocks two of the strongest early-to-mid-game Incantations, and it's well worth improving your Elden Ring parkour skills just to be able to get these if you plan to use Faith offensively.

The Godskin Prayerbook is tied to the "God-slaying Black Flame" per the item description, something in Elden Ring that players will have to discover more about on their own. As this description might suggest, the Godskin Prayerbook unlocks two dark Incantations: Black Flame and Black Flame Blade.

Black Flame is a high FP version of Flame Sling that deals more damage and lingers on enemies hit, dealing ticking damage for a few seconds after the initial damage. Blade Flame Blade imbues your currently equipped Armament with power of the Black Flame for a few seconds, which makes every strike deal lingering ticking damage.

To find the Godskin Prayerbook's location, head to the Rampart Tower Site of Lost Grace just before a wall with Sword Birds surrounded by explosive barrels. Leave the room and look to the right away from the Birds to see a roof. It looks far, but you can make it with a sprinting jump – if you fail, there's a Site of Lost Grace right there to try again. When you get onto the roof, turn left and look down for a place to drop down. The fall to the ground is too high to survive, so look for a spot mid-way to drop to before dropping again to the inner courtyard.

You should see a set of stairs leading down into a Fog Wall right next to you if you dropped from the rooftop – if you want to avoid this parkour segment altogether, you can go through the courtyard normally, but there are some seriously strong enemies here (especially for low-level players). Use a Stonesword Key on the Imp Statue here and prepare to fight a handful of rats. Beyond these rats are two chests: one contains the Godskin Prayerbook, and the other contains the Godslayer's Seal, a useful catalyst for Incantations of the Black Flame.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
