Despite launching only a few months ago, Elden Ring has cultivated a massive amount of success within the gaming community. Given the sheer amount of content for players to discover in Elden Ring, along with a multitude of memorable characters and locations, fans of the game have created a lot of interesting content as a result. Though, this most recent example, on top of being comedic, holds a lot of sentimental value.

As to be expected from a number of mainstream video games, a plethora of memes have surfaced as a result of Elden Ring's success. While the memes tend to vary in origin, the Elden Ring dog memes have proven to be quite hilarious. The basis of the meme essentially involves players referring to various non-hostile creatures as dogs. Now, one fan has received a special creation based on the dog meme as a way of celebrating a significant accomplishment.

Over on Reddit, a user named GeoHol92 showed off a small sketch of an Elden Ring tortoise with the word "dog" in lowercase letters directly below it. According to the user, their significant other makes something like this for them every time they platinum a game. This was done after the user had gotten all platinum trophies in Elden Ring, thereby completing everything the game has to offer.

It's fascinating how much of an impact Elden Ring has had on not just its primary audience, but on people that don't even play the game. In the case of this particular user, it's unlikely that their significant other plays Elden Ring, but is also aware of how much of an undertaking getting all platinum on a game like Elden Ring must be. It's somewhat similar to another user whose roommate ordered a custom plaque that commemorated beating Malenia after 206 attempts.

The variance in fan content for Elden Ring is absolutely staggering. While FromSoftware games have become insanely popular since the advent of Dark Souls, Elden Ring in particular has a considerable amount of eyes on it. This could likely be owed to how accessible Elden Ring is by comparison to previous FromSoftware titles in terms of gameplay mechanics.

In any case, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Elden Ring going forward. Even though the Barbarians of the Badlands DLC for Elden Ring was leaked for 2023, there hasn't been that much information outside the fact that it's currently being developed. With any luck, FromSoftware will have more information to discuss in the coming months.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
