In The Mountaintop of the Giants, one of the final areas in Elden Ring that the player will be able to access, they will shortly come across an imposing structure that offers some extremely valuable loot inside. All over The Lands Between, the Tarnished will come across Hero's Graves, the final resting place of a powerful warrior.

Hero's graves contain some of the best loot in the game, especially in the Giant-Conquering Hero's Grave. The Tarnished will be able to acquire protective Incantations, Golden Runes galore, and one of the best pieces of armor in Elden Ring. It's therefore highly recommended the Tarnished check out this location when visiting The Mountaintops.

Find The Hero's Grave

Map Location Of Giant Conquerer Hero's Grave

Finding the Giant-Conquering Hero's Grave will require the Tarnished to maneuver around a large portion of the map once they have reached the Mountaintops. After finding the Zamor Ruins, the Tarnished may notice that there are things high on the plateau above; that is where the player must reach.

  • After reaching the Freezing Lake Site of Grace, the Tarnished must travel west and head up the hill to the Guardian's Garrison.
  • Once the player has crossed the giant chain nearby, follow along the cliff edge in a general southwest direction.
  • As the Tarnished moves along the cliff edge path, there will be several Fingercreepers in this area that do massive damage, so caution is advised.
  • At the end of this cliff-edge path, there will be a small gap that the Tarnished need to jump across to reach the final plateau.
  • Once the player has reached this plateau, they simply need to ride up to the imposing structure ahead and access the Hero's Grave.

Acquire Flame, Protect Me Incantation

Opening A Small Blocked Path In A Dungeon

Upon entering the building and using the elevator, the Tarnished will find a door next to the Site of Grace protected by a barrier. If the player uses a Stonesword Key on the Imp statue next to the barrier, it will unlock, and they will be able to get the Incantation inside called 'Flame, Protect Me.'

Clear The First Main Room

Once the Tarnished enters the first room, they will see they turn right, and at the near end of a long hallway, they can get a Golden Rune (11). After this, they need to defeat several enemies, including a Lesser Burial Watchdog, except they are all wreathed in shadow.

When the enemies are in this state, they will be immune to all damage. The Tarnished will need to utilize the golden floor seal to harm them. Once the Tarnished are stood in this area, they will be able to attack the enemies as normal. Once this is done, they can head down the stairs nearby to get a Grave Glovewort.

Acquire The Cranial Vessel Candlestand

Opening A Blocked Path In A Dungeon
  • As the Tarnished move further through the area, they will find Fire Monks near a pillar spewing flame.
  • Time your run so that the Tarnished can take care of the Fire Monk and reach the pillar; striking the pillar will deactivate the flames.
  • Climbing the stairs and taking care of another Fire Monk will lead the player to another barrier that can be deactivated with another Stonesword Key.
  • At the end of this hallway lies the Cranial Vessel Candlestand and a Grave Glovewort; however, it is guarded by more enemies wreathed in shadow. Before these enemies will be a small hole leading to the room with the pillar that spews flame; jump down and bring the pillar back up to give the Tarnished the golden floor seal needed to kill these enemies.
  • After all of these enemies are defeated, the Tarnished will be able to collect the Cranial Vessel Candlestand.

Unlock The Boss Door

Approaching A Giant In A Dungeon

From here, run back to the very end of the hallway where the Tarnished should find a lift, ride it down to reach a large room, and send the lift back up while remaining in the room. Doing this will place another golden floor seal on the ground.

Activating a lever right next to the floor seal will unlock a large hallway with a Giant wreathed in shadow; the Tarnished will need to lead it to the golden seal to fight it. Once this giant is defeated, the door to the boss will open.

Optional Basement Section

To get some rare items, the Tarnished must access the basement section by going up to the lift they previously used, hitting the lever next to it, and jumping in before it moves. Once in the basement, the Tarnished will have to deal with a Prelate and two Burial Watchdogs.

Using Crystal Darts on a Watchdog will stun it for a few seconds, making the fight dramatically easier as the player can now focus on one at a time. The Prelate is also extremely dangerous, but once he is defeated, you will be able to loot the Giant's Seal and a Great Grave Glovewort.

Defeat Ancient Hero Of Zamor

Fighting Ancient Hero Of Zamor

After heading back to the room where the player fought the Giant, the Tarnished will be able to access the boss room situated behind where he was spawned. In the late game, this boss shouldn't give the Tarnished too much trouble, although he is extremely quick at moving around the boss arena.

This agility and his frostbite attacks are his biggest strength, although if the Tarnished uses a summon, they should make quick work of the boss. Once he is defeated, he will drop the Zamor armor set, which is extremely stylish and offers magical protection. Once the Tarnished have collected the armor and Zamor Sword, they will have completed the dungeon.
