The character creator in Elden Ring gives players a lot of room to craft everything from epic fighters to rainbow-colored monsters, all the way to recreating iconic characters. One player has recently taken this tool and used it to recreate Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher series, even using Elden Ring's Ashes of War and other elements to match the character's fighting style.

This recent Geralt build was originally posted to the Elden Ring subreddit by user Fatg0d with a video that shows off the full extent of the recreation in action. Interestingly, the player was even able to pull some of the signature magic from The Witcher, as well as the potions and equipment that Geralt can prepare and take into fights.

To start this build, the player dresses for the part with the Prisoner's Clothing, Leather Gloves, and Leather Boots, and uses the Claymore and Banished Knight's Greatsword as the choice of weapon. This does mean that players will have to kill Elden Ring's trickster Patches since he is the one who drops the leather armor needed for the boots and gloves. Of course, considering Patches' history of backstabbing players across so many FromSoftware titles, lots of fans might not have much of a problem with taking him out for the sake of grabbing this armor.

Where the build really comes together, however, is in the use of Ashes of War like Flame of the Redmanes and Storm Blade in order to mimic Geralt's magic like Igni and Aard. Combining this with Elden Ring's crafted items helps to add to the roleplay, giving Geralt his potions, weapon enchantments, and bombs that he often prepares for different fights. Surprisingly, the player was able to find an impressive number of ways to recreate Geralt's many tools, thanks to the variety of options that players have in Elden Ring.

Given how players have been recreating characters like Darth Maul in Elden Ring since the game launched, it really was only a matter of time until a fan managed to work out a Geralt build. Considering how many popular characters use weapons like the swords, hammers, and spears that appear in Elden Ring, there are likely even more iconic styles that players will continue to recreate in the game. For now, though, this Geralt build is one of the most dynamic shown so far that could make for its own interesting playthrough for players looking to test out new and exciting builds.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
