Elden Ring is one of the most highly-anticipated games of 2022. From Software is one of the most beloved developers in the industry today, and it would be fair to expect Elden Ring to get a positive reception from both critics and players upon its launch.

From Software has shared details on the various classes of Elden Ring in the lead-up to its release. Most recently, the developer had revealed the Prophet and Wretch classes for Elden Ring. The Prophet class seems to revolve around both offensive and defensive magic while Wretch is described as poor and purposeless. Players choosing Wretch will probably not get any initial bonuses or meaningful equipment as it looks to be the hardest class in the game. Now, From Software has released a new trailer that gives an overview of Elden Ring.

The video begins by introducing players to the story of Elden Ring. It explains that players take control of a descendant of a group of exiled heroes known as The Tarnished. It then sets up the mysterious world and shows off the dangerous enemies that inhabit these lands. It also briefly goes over the dungeons of Elden Ring and describes how they differ from the overworld.

As seen in the trailer, Elden Ring has a big focus on exploration and player freedom, and the video also gives an overview of some classes. Additionally, Elden Ring lets players use a wide variety of skills and equipment, allowing them to fully customize their builds. Later on, the trailer briefly highlights the multiplayer component of Elden Ring before ending with more exciting gameplay footage.

This new trailer does a great job of introducing players to the world of Elden Ring. It looks like the game will be packed with features and will have a lot of variety in its combat design, while also adding many quality-of-life improvements that are sometimes missing from other games in this genre. Elden Ring looks more impressive with every showing and all signs point towards From Software successfully integrating the mechanics from Dark Souls with a proper open-world.

From Software collaborated with George R. R. Martin for Elden Ring, and the world seems to be filled with interesting bits of lore. Unfortunately, it looks like Elden Ring spoilers have appeared online, with more leaks and videos likely to get uploaded before launch. Bandai Namco has since taken them down, but at this point, it would be impossible to stop all leaks.

Elden Ring launches February 25 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
