Elden Ring is one of the hardest video games, featuring some of the most formidable and brutal opponents in gaming history. These include more than 150 bosses like Maliketh, the Crucible Knight, Margit - The Fell Omen, Dragonlord Placidusax, Malenia - Blade of Miquella, and many others. Some are anthropomorphic creatures, while others are fearsome beasts like giants and huge dragons.

The Elden Beast is one of the most well-known bosses of Elden Ring, as it serves as the final boss in the game. Despite being the final adversary in the game's story mode, the Elden Beast is not the most difficult boss of Elden Ring. Regardless, the endmost boss often poses a formidable challenge to Elden Ring players.

Not long ago, a Reddit user named AEMarling shared a video of their unfortunate encounter with the Elden Beast. The video begins with the final Elden Ring boss and the player going head-to-head with another, while the latter deals significant damage to the former. It can be clearly seen that Elden Beast's HP bar is at nearly 20%, and the user is landing repeated hits. Meanwhile, AEMarling's health bar is more than 50%, and they also have two Flasks of Crimson Tears in their possession. This would suggest the user has the fight under control and is about to vanquish the formidable foe.

However, the unexpected happened soon after as AEMarling's plan to defeat the Elden Beast was quickly foiled. The Elden Beast suddenly attacks the user with a ranged magical attack that instantly drains the HP bar of the user and kills them. Understandably, the video is titled, "maybe I don't really need to be Elden Lord after all." Meanwhile, the Reddit post was well received by the community, who showed their appreciation via more than 4,400 upvotes and hundreds of comments. Most Reddit users commented about the user's emphasis on offense instead of defense which ultimately cost them their life. While others joked about the caption suggesting the original poster should try being the Elden Viscount or Elden Earl rather than an Elden Lord.

Players don't always suffer unfavorable endings when facing the Elden Beast, as some people have mastered the technique to beat the final Elden Ring boss. Not long ago, a Reddit user named YourAverageGamer31 uploaded a video where they defeated Radagon and the Elden beast with one hit each.

Elden Ring is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
