One gamer got saved by an enemy’s attack after misjudging a jump in Elden Ring. Elden Ring came out several months ago, and many players have likely finished the game by now. Some users are waiting for FromSoftware to share details on Elden Ring’s DLC plans, but the developer has not made any new announcements.

Since its release, Elden Ring players have shared several hilarious clips of incidents that occurred in their playthroughs. These range from random glitches to funny and unexpected encounters with the AI. Now, one Elden Ring player shares footage from an unbelievable incident that seemingly saved their life.

A user named Character-Gene-1572 has posted a clip of a memorable sequence of events in Elden Ring. They appear to be running down a set of stairs before witnessing a platform below. There is a big gap between the edge of the platform and the stairs, but Character-Gene-1572 believes they can make the jump. This turns out to be a mistake, as the player miscalculates the distance and is seemingly about to fall to their death.

Right before they hit the ground, a nearby enemy executes a grab attack, depleting over half of their HP with a single move. However, Character-Gene-1572 probably expected to fall to their death, so this move saved them from respawning back at the previous Site of Grace.

The player survived the incident, as they posted a comment saying that they ran away to grab a Talisman they needed to get 100% completion in Elden Ring. Character-Gene-1572 claims to have never experienced an event like this in the 450 hours they have put into the game. Other Elden Ring players also appear impressed by the surprising turn of events, with one claiming it to be a once-in-a-lifetime ordeal. One user mentions that it would be difficult to replicate this move on purpose.

Elden Ring’s patch 1.07 seemingly added new textures, hair, map files, and more, that hint at the developer’s DLC plans for the game. It looks like Elden Ring’s DLC will feature the colosseums and arenas that are currently inaccessible, but fans will have to wait for an official announcement from the development team. This recently released update also made a significant change to the game’s balance as it added different damage scaling for PvP and PvE in Elden Ring. This allows FromSoftware to separately balance both modes independent of each other.

Elden Ring is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
