Most enemies in Elden Ring can be a pain to encounter due to the high difficulty of the game but the Cleanrot Knights are especially tough opponents. These foes tower over the lowly tarnished wearing their golden armor with red fur. They wield a thrusting sword paired with a spear or scythe. In Elden Ring lore these enemies are servants in the army of Malenia and have even fought against Radahn, making the enemies formidable adversaries.
One Elden Ring player, known as 1nd3rld, posted a video to Reddit showing a Cleanrot Knight killing them embarrassingly. In the video the player can be seen buffing their character with different consumables and incantations before encountering the enemy atop a castle walkway. The player mitigates the knight's first few attacks by blocking with their shield or dodge rolling. However, the Cleanrot Knight eventually broke through their defenses delivering a devastating blow. The knight impaled the character with a stab of its spear, raised them high above and tossed them off the castle to the depths below. The fall killed the character immediately but even if it had not, the scarlet rot would have.
The video has since turned viral on Reddit, garnering well over 2,000 upvotes. The popularity of the post has also sparked others to rush to the comments section and share their own stories of embarrassing defeats in Elden Ring. Other Redditors have flooded the comments lamenting the Cleanrot Knight's existence in the game altogether.
