Ever since it first launched, players have been throwing themselves at the difficult bosses of Elden Ring again and again. Now, one Elden Ring fan has made Dungeons and Dragons stat blocks for some of the most memorable bosses in the game–the Demigods.

The Elden Ring stat blocks were designed by Yuri Rodriguez, a Dungeons and Dragons homebrew content creator. A published DMsGuild author, Rodriguez has transformed tons of pop culture references into D&D monsters.

The six stat blocks cover several Demigods from Elden Ring. The weakest of the Elden Ring bosses is Godrick the Grafted at Challenge Rating 15, with Mohg, Morgott, Radahn, Malenia, and the God-Devouring Serpent ranging from CR 23 to 26. These incredibly-powerful monsters are well-designed. The stat blocks utilize all the mechanics of Dungeons and Dragons to represent their signature attacks, with a slew of bonus actions, reactions, and Legendary actions to choose from. Malenia, Godrick, and the God-Devouring Serpent even have Mythic Actions–the Dungeons and Dragons mechanic that allows powerful monsters to have “boss phases,'' such as Malenia’s Goddess of Rot form.

Balancing powerful Dungeons and Dragons creatures of high Challenge Ratings is no easy feat, but Rodriguez managed to do a good job with the Elden Ring Demigods. The monsters have great action economy to ensure they are not overwhelmed by the players, while not being entirely overpowered and unbeatable. If a Dungeons and Dragons party were to face the Demigods of Elden Ring using these stat blocks, they would be hard-pressed for victory, but it would not be impossible.

Rodriguez’s fellow Elden Ring fans loved his Dungeons and Dragons stat blocks. They immediately took a deep dive into them, running the numbers on how a fight would go down against each of the bosses. They noticed errors and provided feedback, which Rodriguez quickly addressed and corrected. Many fans immediately went about borrowing the stat blocks to use in their own games.

Dungeons and Dragons and Elden Ring are natural fits for one another. Back when Elden Ring first launched, Critical Role did a special one-shot in the Lands Between. Though the system used was heavily homebrewed by Matt Mercer, the officially-sponsored adventure culminated in a climactic battle against Godrick the Grafted. His version of the iconic Elden Ring boss was a fair bit weaker than Rodriguez’s–one can only wonder if Mercer’s party could have survived had he pulled out all the stops with these stat blocks.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
