Bandai Namco Entertainment has reportedly been hit with a ransomware attack by a group known as ALPHV. This means tons of important information could now be in the hands of these hackers, but Bandai Namco has not confirmed nor denied these claims. It sounds very much like what happened to Capcom a few years ago, which resulted in games like Dragon’s Dogma 2 leaking online way ahead of the reveal. Among these leaks is seemingly the title for an upcoming Elden Ring DLC.

It should be noted that Capcom hack took a few days for the information to appear online, but now it seems that Bandai Namco’s plans for Fiscal Year 2023 have been let loose early. Presumably there’s more that could be leaked if Bandai does not come to an agreement with ALPHV, or it’s possible that the following information is completely fake, seizing the potential hack as a chance to leak some fake games, including potential DLC for Elden Ring.

While this should be taken with a grain of salt, an image of Bandai Namco’s plans for FY2023 include the following

  • Q1 FY2023
    • Armored Core
    • Dragon Ball The Breakers
  • Q2 FY 2023
    • Little Nightmares 3
    • Dragon Ball FighterZ Super
    • Digimon Story Cybersleuth 2
  • Q3 FY 2023
    • Elden Ring: Barbarians of the Badlands
    • Tales of Ascension
    • Tekken 8
  • Q4 FY2023
    • Code Vein 2
    • One Punch Man Fighters Association
    • Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3

It's hard to say for sure how much legitimacy this list has, but it will perhaps become more clear in the coming days. Elden Ring DLC in Q3 FY2023 is on the longer end of FromSoftware’s DLC approach, but it would fit given the size of the new title. It would also seemingly tie to the Badlands that Godfrey and the Tarnished ventured to when exiled from the Lands Between, and it could explore his and Nepheli’s background, events happening outside the Lands Between, and far more. Or perhaps these barbarians come to the Lands Between following Godfrey's defeat and seek vengeance. There's tons of possibilities, but only time will tell.

Overall, this list is interesting, as nothing is necessarily impossible, but some things feel unlikely. For example, FromSoftware has a game in the final stages of development, believed to be Armored Core, but a Q1 FY2023 release would seem a bit early—not impossibly early but interestingly early. Some of these games are currently unannounced, like Tales of Ascension and Code Vein 2, while some of these have been reported in other rumors and leaks, like Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
