When Elden Ring players finally manage to make it to the end of the game and defeat the final boss, they are given a choice. They can choose to keep playing their existing Elden Ring world, hunting down optional bosses, or they can start a new journey. Elden Ring New Game+ puts players right back at the start, but with the level, weapons, and most of the items they acquired in their first playthrough.

Starting Elden Ring from the beginning again gives New Game+ players the chance to notice things that they may have missed in their initial playthrough. An example of this was shared by Reddit user Schneizel_, who pointed out an intersting detail about the Divine Towers that one wouldn't necessarily realize if it was their first time playing the game.

When players first step out into Limgrave to begin their Elden Ring adventure, they can actually see all of the game's Divine Towers from the starting point, as pointed out in the Reddit post. The Divine Towers are important locations in Elden Ring if players want to get the most of their boss fight victories, though they aren't required to actually beat the game.

In Elden Ring, beating a boss nets players with a ton of regular runes that they can spend to level up, along with what is called a Great Rune. Great Runes have to be activated by visiting their specific Divine Tower, with six of them featured in the game. The Great Runes give players various bonuses that they can use to make their character that much better, which can in turn make players more efficient when trying to survive in the game world and fight tougher bosses.

There is a conspiracy theory that the Elden Ring Divine Towers may even hint at future game for the DLC. If one looks at the Elden Ring map, they'll notice that there's a large cloud in the center of all the Divine Towers. Fans have speculated that Elden Ring DLC may remove the cloud to reveal what's underneath, and that location will be where players go for the expansion. However, this is purely speculation at this time. Elden Ring DLC has not been announced in an official capacity, so fans should keep their expectations in check.

In the meantime, commenters on the Reddit post have noticed that there are some other far-away locations that players can see right at the start of the game, including the Forge of the Giants, which is one of the last locations players visit in any given playthrough. It's a neat detail and shows just how much though FromSoftware put into crafting the game world.

Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
