One of the most alluring aspects of not just Elden Ring, but practically any FromSoftware game, are the various enemies that players encounter throughout the experience. In many ways, the brutal nature of not just the boss battles, but regular enemies as well, is what ultimately attributes to the high difficulty that Elden Ring is known for. Though, for how difficult these enemies might be to fight against, they also possess numerous intimidating qualities that go well past their difficulty.

While the bosses in Elden Ring are considerably more difficult than standard enemies, with standout bosses like Malenia and the Elden Beast to name a couple of examples, there are a number of enemies that can cause quite a lot of irritation to players. Perhaps the most famous of which being the Flame Chariots that ram into the player at high speeds. However, one player recently noticed a rather subtle, if not disconcerting, detail regarding the design of the Flame Chariots.

Over on Reddit, a user named Fuzzy-Improvement-35 posted a gameplay clip where they managed to trap a Flame Chariot in a stationary position. Once the player began to move to the right, they noticed that the eyes of the Flame Chariot follow the player to whatever position the player moves to, which given the fact that Flame Chariots are meant to chase after players is rather terrifying all things considered.

Given that Elden Ring is already known for putting players on edge as a result of its gameplay, this detail adds an unsettling layer to active gameplay and enemy engagement that some players may not notice initially. In truth, this method of user interactivity has been used in a plethora of other games to great effect. One of the most famous examples of this being Skyrim, where Hermaeus Mora's eye follows the player wherever they move.

It's amazing to see how much effort and forethought was put into Elden Ring give the sheer magnitude of content that's available for players to experience. The fact that players have managed to catch details like the one found on the Flame Chariot nearly four months after Elden Ring first launched is impressive unto itself. Not to mention that players are even finding cute details about rabbits in Elden Ring.

In any case, it will be interesting to see what other details players manage to glean from Elden Ring as time goes on. So far, a lot of interesting information has been found out by players, which also includes a lot of creepy details similar to the Flame Chariot discovery. For instance, one player noticed a rather disturbing detail about Sir Gideon Ofnir's helmet over a month ago.

Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
