An Elden Ring player manages to take out Godfrey, First Elden Lord at level 1 while dressed as one of the game's NPCs, Roderika. There are a number of challenges that players have taken on while playing FromSoftware's hit RPG. This includes taking on the bosses of Elden Ring while setting limitations on themselves.

One of the NPCs that Elden Ring gamers will come across is Roderika. This character can be met at Stormhill Shack while on the trail towards Stormveil and can be found at the Roundtable Hold later on in the game. Players are able to receive the Spirit Jellyfish Ashes from her, which summons a jellyfish that will attack their enemies.

A Reddit user named gilfordtan posted a video of them fighting Godfrey in Elden Ring. The clip shows the player take on the boss with great precision, avoiding all damage that comes their way. The player is dressed as the NPC Roderika for the fight and wields a hammer during the battle. Gilfordtan also revealed that they were level 1 when they took on Godfrey, which meant that they would have probably died if they were hit even once. It is an impressive feat to accomplish and helps show a mastery of Elden Ring and the game's bosses.

A number of Redditors have shown gilfordtan a bit of respect. One commenter stated that they feel as if they have gotten good at the game only to watch what gilfordtan did and feel awful. One user asked why the player's health had been so low, to which another gamer explained that there is a talisman that boosts attack when a character's HP reaches a certain point. What gilfordtan did was superb and helps demonstrate how skilled some gamers truly are when playing games such as Elden Ring.

Many players like to challenge themselves in the same way as gilfordtan, which leads to them taking on impressive limitations such as fighting bosses at low levels. This includes gamers such as Let Me Solo Her, who took on the Elden Ring boss Malenia whilst armed with nothing but two katanas and a pot on his head. These sorts of challenges are very entertaining to watch as the player taking them on showcases an incredible understanding of the games that they are undertaking. As more games like Elden Ring are released, many will find ways to test themselves and reach a level of skill far above the average player.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
