Elden Ring came out in February this year and broke numerous sales records, including the one for being FromSoftware's biggest Steam launch. The game slipped in rankings in April as LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga witnessed immense success. However, Elden Ring has seen a dramatic comeback and has found itself among the best-selling games once again.

This incredible commercial success of Elden Ring can be attributed directly to the game's quality, with players admiring its difficulty, immersive storyline, creation tools, and the expansive open world. Naturally, Elden Ring fans spend innumerable hours exploring the game's vast open world, encountering several bosses and beating them in unique ways. Some people even discover hidden moves, like the Elden Ring player who found an easy combat trick using crystal darts after spending more than 400 hours in the game.

Meanwhile, other people complete the game multiple times by unlocking New Game Plus mode in Elden Ring. One such player took it a step further and finished the game three times, including New Game, New Game+, and New Game++. As it turns out, this particular gamer is highly detail oriented and apparently has a thing for numbers as they've recorded their statistics for each playthrough, specifically the death count. Reddit user Ultima893 uploaded an image showing a chart of how many times they died to each Elden Ring boss during their three playthroughs. The user has also calculated an average death count for all enemies at each difficulty level.

The chart shows the player's worst adversaries were the Crucible Knights in their first run as they died 71 times, followed by 52 times at the hands of the Tree Sentinels. Interestingly, the user managed to evade these two bosses among many others in their second and third runs. However, the third spot holder, Malenia, Blade of Miquella, managed to kill Ultima893 more than 30 times in each playthrough. The Reddit community quickly grabbed on to this statistic and singled out Malenia as possibly the most brutal boss in Elden Ring. Other users also pointed out that there are 71 deaths from the Crucible Knights but none from Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader, who is famous for being a challenging fight.

Ultima893 is not the first Elden Ring player who likes meticulously prepared charts. Previously, another Elden Ring player created an illustration showing different bosses, using a mixture of a network diagram and a flowchart to depict all of the Elden Ring bosses hierarchically.

Elden Ring is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
