Talismans in Elden Ring serve the same purpose as Rings from other FromSoftware titles. They boost a variety of stats, grant effects, or change the way a certain mechanic works when equipped - the Blue Dancer Talisman, for example, increases attack power with low equip load, while the Claw Talisman increases damage from jumping attacks only.

Elden Ring's Cerulean Seed Talisman is a very useful one for Sorcerers, Incantation-users, and other spellcasters to hunt down. If you haven't found many Sacred Tears, which increase the strength of your flasks, the Cerulean Seed Talisman is especially useful.

The Cerulean Seed Talisman Boosts FP Recovery, Not Max FP

  • "The Erdtree was once perfect and eternal, and thus was it believed that Erdtree seeds could not exist."

The Cerulean Seed Talisman increases the amount of FP restored when using your Cerulean Flask specifically. Your maximum FP will not increase, just the amount that can be recovered in one swig of the Cerulean Flask. This doesn't affect the Flask of Wondrous Physick, even if you have an FP-restorative Crystal Tear imbued onto it.

The other way to increase the amount of flask restoration is by finding Sacred Tears across the Lands Between (usually in Churches of Marika) and strengthening your flasks across the board at a Site of Lost Grace. This can take a long, long time though, and it's a good idea to keep this equipped in the early game until you have a comfortable number of Sacred Tears to use.

Where To Find The Cerulean Seed Talisman

The Cerulean Seed Talisman can be found pretty early in Elden Ring though it requires players get through one of the most difficult early-game areas: Carian Study Hall. You can reach this area by turning right after beating Godrick and leaving Stormveil Castle, or by taking the secret path between Limgrave and Liurnia of the Lakes to avoid Godrick. The Carian Study Hall is at the bottom of the Divine Tower of Liurnia, easily seen from the surrounding cliffs leading to Liurnia and Stormveil.

The building is ornate inside, but don't spend too long looking around, or you'll be shot by the NPC invader who defends the Study Hall. Take the elevator upwards, then don't stop running until you reach a second elevator that leads to the upper levels of the Carian Study Hall. Look around this second floor for a ladder that leads to the rafters above. The Cerulean Seed Talisman is found on a body on these rafters - just watch out for rats and spellcasters!

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
