One Elden Ring player has shared a video showing a co-op player applying multiple buffs before Beast Clergyman boss fight and dying in seconds. Elden Ring contains some of the strongest bosses in video games, so many gamers buff their characters before facing them. Elden Ring has many sorceries and incantations that grant special powers to players, giving them an upper hand in a boss fight.

Beast Clergyman is a mandatory boss fight and his second phase, Maliketh, is considered one of the hardest bosses in Elden Ring. Maliketh possesses a unique collection of close combat and ranged attacks that can one-shot many gamers. Naturally, many Elden Ring players struggle in the Beast Clergyman boss fight and apply spells or incantations to strengthen their character. Some gamers often call upon help from others using the game's co-op mode. Reddit user random_script participated in one such fight where their companion buffs their avatar in the Beast Clergyman boss fight.

Random_script's video begins with two Furled Fingers and the Host of Fingers facing the mist leading up to the battle area. The host applies a couple of buffs and consumes flasks before entering the boss fight arena. What happened next was nothing short of hilarious and ironic at the same time. The fight begins with Beast Clergyman singling out the host and performing the Beast Claw move, after which the host panic rolls multiple times. Ultimately, they fell to their death without even getting hit by the Elden Ring boss, upon which the original poster and the other companion returned to their respective worlds.

Eventually, the video grabbed the attention of the sizable Elden Ring community on Reddit, who expressed their appreciation by giving the video more than 2,500 upvotes and leaving a ton of comments. Most people criticized the host for focusing too much on buffing themselves instead of having proper knowledge of a boss' move set. Meanwhile, others mocked them for not analyzing their environment and panic rolling off the cliff. As seen by the comments, this video is a prime example of users overestimating the significance of buffs and neglecting Elden Ring's combat mechanics.

The Beast Clergyman boss fight is a huge stumbling block for many Elden Ring players who spend countless hours trying to defeat him. Players can find this boss in the Crumbling Farum Azula region of Elden Ring and must defeat him to progress in the main storyline. After depleting his health to 50 %, a cutscene plays, and he transforms into Maliketh, The Black Blade. Moreover, both versions have different moves that make it even more challenging for players.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
