Electronic Arts has now launched its biggest releases of the 2021 holiday season. Star Wars Squadrons released in early October, followed by FIFA 21, NHL 21, and more recently the Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit remaster. It seems that EA is now ready to start looking toward 2021 and the future beyond. Three trademarks were recently filed in Europe by EA, each more curious than the last.

The nature of these trademarks remains unclear, but for those prone to speculate the trademarks are interesting to consider. The three terms that have been trademarked are "Chocolate Panda," "Fury Soccer," and "Full Circle." As is apparent, none of the three terms have any immediately recognizable connection to any of EA's existing properties. The three trademarks have not yet been fully recognized and are currently under evaluation.

The classifications for the three new trademarks don't provide any substantial context, unfortunately. They're associated with the sale of video games or game-related services, which could point to anything from new game releases or DLC. Perhaps the one interesting conclusion is that there's clearly an intent for these trademarks to be used for video game projects in the future. They may, of course, be for ideas that never quite pan out. They may just go onto EA's shelves for the foreseeable future.

At first glance, the titles don't seem like they'd be appropriate for a full game release. They do seem more appropriate for mobile games, however. Chocolate Panda could be a cafe management simulator with cute desserts, Fury Soccer an arcade soccer title, and Full Circle could be anything from a battle royale to an adventure game. EA dabbles in all sorts of video games, so anything is possible.

The most likely scenario is that these names are for potential DLC releases for any of EA's currently-available games. They could be associated with The Sims 4, Star Wars: Squadrons, or any of a dozen other releases from Electronic Arts. Still, the fact that their names are so generic does prompt a certain amount of curiosity regarding what EA might be up to with these trademarks.

Regardless of what Chocolate Panda, Full Circle, and Fury Soccer are, it's clear EA is already looking forward to 2021. EA Originals like Lost in Random and It Takes Two, as well as new games from series including Need for Speed are in development, but that's likely just a scant few of the games EA will be sharing more information on in the months to come.
