With UFC quickly becoming one of the most-watched live sports outlets across the entire globe, it seems many have been waiting patiently for a brand new game surrounding the global MMA phenomenon. While UFC 3 definitely still has a large fanbase, many agree that the game could use some significant updates to its core gameplay and roster of characters, especially as MMA is a sport that evolves extraordinarily quickly.

It seems fans of the popular sport are in luck, however, as a new listing on the PlayStation store supposedly confirms the existence of a UFC 4. The game even seems to have a title card and artwork attached too, with a graphic found alongside the listing showing the UFC 4 title below an EA Sports logo.

As for where the leak came from, it seems PS4 patches, a website dedicated to catching listings that pop up on Sony's network, uncovered an update to a project called "Magnum," which was added to the database some time ago. Searching through the listing uncovers a graphic, with the picture seemingly referring to a "community feedback environment" for UFC 4. This lines up with several leaks earlier this year that claimed the game was a launch title for next-generation hardware, meaning fans could likely see the title announced at EA's June 18 conference.

As for what should be added in the newest iteration of the UFC video game series, it seems fans have been looking for more depth in the game's systems for a while now. Many have called for some change-ups to UFC's ground combat, with players claiming that wrestling, submissions, and grappling, in general, feels shallow and half-baked compared to the title's rendition of stand-up fights. Others have been calling for GM Mode or something similar, perhaps allowing the player to make their own MMA promotion where they can book fights, crown champions, and compete for the best ratings. It would definitely make for a different career mode that allows players to book their dream fights.

Regardless, it seems games like UFC are in high demand right now, especially as the incredibly popular MMA promotion is bigger than ever. Alternatively, famous boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has hinted numerous times that he's been pushing to see the return of the Fight Night series, likely after noticing the wide acclaim for boxing stars like Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder, and Tyson Fury. Hopefully, both MMA and boxing video games have a major resurgence in the years to come.

UFC 4 is rumored to be in development.
