Developers Already Confirmed For E3 2011

E3 2011 Cracks Down On Attendees

The Electronics Entertainment Expo, or E3 as us cool people like to call it, is still 5 months away and the Entertainment Software Association has released a list of the gaming companies that are already confirmed to attend (so far). For those that don't know, E3 is the largest gaming event of year where gaming and computer companies announce what new products and software they have in store for the masses in the upcoming year(s).

The list currently is set at 31 companies having a presence on the busy show room floor. As everyone would expect, the big three; Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo are listed to be in attendance. Rest assured that just as last year, Game Rant will be there with an epic away team providing live coverage of the whole event, right as the announcements happen.

Check the list out for yourselves:

  • 505 Games
  • Activision
  • Advanced Micro Devices
  • Atari
  • Atlus U.S.A., Inc.
  • Bethesda Softworks LLC
  • Capcom Entertainment, Inc.
  • Crave Games
  • Disney Interactive Studios, Inc.
  • Electronic Arts, Inc.
  • Epic Games, Inc.
  • Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc.
  • LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC
  • Majesco Entertainment Company
  • Microsoft Corporation
  • NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc.
  • Natsume, Inc.
  • Nintendo of America, Inc.
  • NVIDIA Corporation
  • OnLive, Inc.
  • Perfect World Entertainment
  • Proximo Games
  • Sega of America, Inc.
  • Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc.
  • Sony Online Entertainment LLC
  • Square Enix, Inc.
  • Take-Two Interactive, Inc.
  • THQ Inc.
  • Trion Worlds, Inc.
  • Ubisoft Entertainment
  • Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment Inc.

With the existence of this list, it shows that it is about that time to begin speculation of what each developer plans to show us this year. I know I want to see what Capcom, Activision and Nintendo have been working on since last year's E3. It will be interesting to see what changes Capcom has made to the newly revamped Devil May Cry franchise, which caused much fan backlash.  Maybe Activision will put to rest whether the rumors of a space themed Call of Duty are true or not.

Hopefully by the time E3 comes, Nintendo will have more exciting titles for the 3DS other than the lackluster list of launch titles that was recently announced. More than anything, I hope that this years E3 will offer some original titles instead of an overabundance of sequels like last year's expo.
