Dynasty Warriors news has flooded out of the Tokyo Game Show this year. The most recent piece of information is an exciting announcement of a Dynasty Warriors mobile game coming to Japan soon.

Koei Tecmo revealed its mobile Dynasty Warriors game during a live stream event. During the show, the developer showed of single-player footage, with both portrait and landscape gameplay and touch-based controls. Players can swap between different fighters mid-battle. Warriors can pull off explosive and powerful attacks just like the console counterparts from both the mainline Dynasty Warriors and Dynasty Warriors spin-off titles.

This new mobile title will also allow for cooperative play with other users, and even a versus mode. A beta will begin in Japan shortly, and fans can sign up now in an attempt to snag a spot. The closed beta will last from Oct 8 through October 12. For now, the game will only be playable in Japan. However, Koei Tecmo told IGN that a western release may eventually be considered. The mobile Dynasty Warriors wasn't the only big news of the day in regards to the franchise, as a teaser trailer for Dynasty Warriors 9: Empire was also shown for current and next-gen consoles.

A new trailer and more information for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity was also shown at TGS. The spin-off series that takes place in the Zelda universe, specifically Breath of the Wild, could be truly special. And now with Dynasty Warriors 9: Empire and a mobile Dynasty Warriors being revealed as well, fans of the series have a lot to look forward to, as multiple games on various platforms are on the way.

Dynasty Warriors for mobile is currently in development for Japan.
