Techland and GAME partner up to offer one fan a $10 million special edition of Dying Light which grants a speaking role in the game’s film, stuntman training, and much more.

There are plenty of things one could do with ten million dollars. They could take charge of their own independent video game studio, or simply never work another day in their life. Alternatively, one could purchase a very, very special edition of Dying Light. That’s exactly what Techland is hoping one well-off fan will do, and they’ve now shown how much bang the ten million dollar Dying Light special edition will give for its buck.

With their purchase of Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition Spotlight Edition (we’ll just call it the Spotlight Edition from here on out), a sole buyer will secure a speaking role in the Dying Light movie, professional stuntman and parkour training, acting lessons from Roger Craig Smith, off-road driving lessons where they get to keep the car, a zombie makeup session, a luxury trailer to stay in during the filming of the movie, a copy of the original script, ten VIP tickets to the premiere of the movie itself, a role as the voice of the main character in the game’s special edition DLC, and four copies of the Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition signed by the entire team.

Techland had to partner up with GAME to even pitch such a ludicrously pricey special edition, though it’s not even the first crazy special edition they’ve had for the title.

Take a look at the official pitch for the Spotlight Edition below. If one can now be a zombie, why not be a star?

Dying Light 10 Million Dollar Edition

The most obvious problem with the special edition, sans the price, is that there isn’t a guarantee that the movie will actually be made. It wouldn’t be the first time a video game franchise has been adapted to film, but if somebody buys the above special edition, they’d have at least secured a nice chunk of funding for it.

GAME UK retail MD Charlotte Knight was evidently excited about the Spotlight Edition, and even put forth some lofty ambitions for a potential would-be film star to try out:

It’s Oscar season so what better time than now to head to the Hollywood hills. We know our community like to get in character and will have no doubt been inspired by the leading actors on the big screen – so this is a really exciting opportunity for any gamer wanting to hit the silver screen in style.

Regardless of how far-fetched the Spotlight Edition is, we have to applaud Techland for their ability to organize such zany editions of Dying Light. It’s not likely that someone will actually step forward and purchase the edition, which may be designed to make one feel more special than the guy who won Curiosity, but if someone takes the plunge we’ll keep you posted.

Dying Light is currently available on PC, Linux, PS4, and Xbox One.
