Hellraid was a standalone game planned by Techland in 2015 that became a DLC expansion for Dying Light after it was scrapped. Though Techland delayed Dying Light's Hellraid DLC this week to address player feedback, it seems fans who are waiting to taking on demonic skeleton warriors in the zombie survival game can look forward to more in the future.

During an interview with GameCrate published July 13, Techland's Senior PR Manager Ola Sondej said the team does not think of Hellraid as the final DLC for the game, and that "we plan to continue our support for Dying Light." This may come as a surprise to those who are waiting for Dying Light 2, but Sondej confirmed there are three development teams working on both Dying Light titles as well as an unannounced fantasy RPG, so additional content will not affect its schedule.

That being said, Dying Light 2 has had a rocky development regardless of planned DLC for the original game. Techland delayed Dying Light 2 indefinitely at the beginning of the year, but later responded to allegations of Dying Light 2's messy development by telling the world it is still on track.

The Hellraid DLC is set to release in mid-August for PC and consoles, but Dying Light 2 has yet to receive its official new release window. An ASUS marketing promotion for Dying Light 2 suggests the announcement may be coming soon, but there has been no word from Techland as of yet.

Dying Light is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Hellraid launches August 13 on PC and August 14 on consoles.
