Although it's been quite a while since the launch of Dying Light, there's no doubt that the survival-horror title still remains one of the scariest video games for PS4 and Xbox One thanks to its frightening vision of a vicious epidemic that turned everyday human beings into rage-filled zombies. Now, in order to celebrate the release's three year anniversary, the video game developer Techland has revealed that new content is on the way.

As seen below in Dying Light's three year anniversary celebration video, Techland thanks the game's community for its continued support, with the survival-horror title having seen its fan base grow in a major way ever since its release back in 2015. In order to sweeten its message of appreciation, Techland is set to deliver free gifts to players throughout the course of February, with a Valentine's Day-themed Undying Love community bounty, as well as free weekly giveaways on both Steam and Gemly.

What's more is that Techland is using Dying Light's three year anniversary as a good excuse to provide a sizeable discount on the title, by offering a discount of up to 67 percent on the base game and its DLC. Not to mention, the developer also promises that it has “lots of Dying Light awesomeness to deliver in 2018,” inferring that even more content is set to be included in the game as the year progresses.

All things considered, it's great to see Techland celebrating Dying Light by offering fans even more content despite it having been available for three years running. The developer previously made a promise last year to intermittently dole out 10 free DLC packs to fans, and with Content Drop 3 on the way, it's fantastic that the company is not only following through on its promise, but also is rewarding its fan base for their continued support of Dying Light.

Dying Light is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
