Dying Light 2 Stay Human is launching in early February, and developer Techland has been releasing various information on its Twitter account in the lead-up to its launch. Just yesterday, Techland revealed the number of lines of dialogue present in Dying Light 2.

Earlier this month, Techland claimed that Dying Light 2 will take 500 hours to finish. Fans were taken aback by this statement and the developer had to later clarify the game’s actual length. Players will take around 20 hours to beat the main story of Dying Light 2, and 500 hours were only needed for completing everything, including exploring the whole map and seeing all the endings. Techland has now released a new trailer that goes over the various graphics modes available on the PS5 version of Dying Light 2.

The PS5 version of Dying Light 2 Stay Human will have 3 different graphics options. Quality Mode generally sets all in-game settings to high or above, and it will also feature ray tracing. Resolution Mode will run Dying Light 2 at 4K, although the video does not confirm if it runs at native or dynamic 4K. Lastly, Performance Mode will run at 60+ FPS, most probably at a lower resolution with fewer graphical effects.

Multiple graphics modes are present in most new games released on next-generation consoles and Dying Light 2 continues that trend. The video also shows a side-by-side comparison, and it looks like Techland has done a remarkable job in fine-tuning each mode.

Ray tracing is an extremely demanding feature, and unfortunately, most games are only offering it at the expense of a high frame rate on next-generation consoles. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy similarly added a new ray tracing mode that runs at 30fps. Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart from Insomniac Games are two of the most noteworthy titles that have a separate mode for ray tracing at 60fps.

Regardless, there seems to be a lot of hype for Dying Light 2’s release. It was on top of Steam’s wishlists a few weeks ago, but Elden Ring has now claimed that spot. Dying Light 2 will also release on the Switch via the cloud, but this version recently got delayed and will now launch within 6 months of the original release date. Whenever it comes out, fans can expect Dying Light 2 to be a contender for game of the year in 2022.

Dying Light 2 releases February 4, 2022, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
