Fans have been waiting years for Dying Light 2: Stay Human. Unfortunately for them, Dying Light 2 has been delayed numerous times, with the latest delay pushing the game back from its planned December launch to February 2022. Luckily, the long wait for Dying Light 2 is nearly coming to an end, and while fans may still have to wait a few months to play it, they now have a decent idea of how much storage space to set aside.

Twitter account PlayStation Game Size recently shared some informaton on the PS5 version of Dying Light 2 found on the PlayStation Store, confirming that, as it stands, the game is going to be about 21.099 GB without taking the likely day one patch into account. Now, with it still being a few months away from the official Dying Light 2 release date, it's entirely possible that the final file size will be different, so anyone looking forward to the game should keep that in mind.

With Dying Light 2 being an open world game, some fans may think that the file size is too small, but it doesn't necessarily reflect the size of the actual in-game world. And in an industry where video game file sizes continue to balloon out of control, many may be happy that they won't necessarily have to delete a bunch of stuff to make room for the new game.

The Dying Light 2 file size information popping up could be a sign that fans don't have to worry about another delay. Since the Dying Light 2 reveal at E3 2018, the game has been pushed back multiple times, and also went through a period of time where fans saw and heard very little about it. Things have since ramped up, with Dying Light 2 hands-on previews taking place and other evidence pointing to the February release date being met.

Another sign that Dying Light 2 is truly reaching the end of development is the ESRB rating for the game that was posted in October. Typically, ESRB ratings for games aren't released until the game is nearly out and ready, so if the Dying Light 2 ESRB rating is any indication, fans shouldn't have to worry about another delay.

The Dying Light 2 release date is a few months away, so expect more information on the open world zombie game to come out between now and then.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human launches February 4, 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
