With players traversing the ruins of Villedor while trying to survive both the undead and hostile factions, any tricks to use inside of Dying Light 2 are sure to be welcome. The parkour-centric traversal lends itself to finding these little tricks in the game, along with other abilities and gear which supplement the game's emphasis on movement. One player is sharing such a trick to help others save time while exploring Villedor and allowing players, when done correctly, to keep pushing forward.

Dying Light 2 is the sequel to 2015's Dying Light from developer Techland, picking up roughly 20 years after the events of the first game in the European city of Villedor. Players take on the role of Aiden Caldwell, a survivor inside the city who must navigate the zombie-infested streets while aiding the remaining human settlements. Players use Caldwell's parkour skills to physically navigate the city while having to navigate the survivor factions vying for power inside Villedor's walls.

As mentioned above, players have been working to uncover tricks to navigate the city, and Reddit user Longjumping-Owl-2684 shared one such maneuver to help with Dying Light 2's locked doors. Owl said that, instead of stopping and lock-picking doors to get inside, players can instead bash their way through the door with relative ease. They explained that it requires the game's bash skill which, when used while running up to a door, should let players easily get inside. Most commenters were grateful for the tip, however, Reddit user WarSniff warns players can get trapped inside a room if the door they bash through is a quest door.

A game the size of Dying Light 2 means Owl's trick will become one of many players will come to rely on while traversing Villedor for hours and hours on end. While this trick will help general exploration, there are other tricks and tips being found regularly as players dig deeper into the game. For example, a tip for players looking to min-max Parkour XP is farming parallel monkey bars by jumping on and off of the bars one at a time.

Brave players can also farm during Nightfall for even more Parkour XP, along with XP for the other skill trees like combat given the increased difficulty.

It remains to be seen what other tricks players will uncover as they get deeper into Dying Light 2. As of the time of this writing, the game has only been out for a short time and many players are still acclimating to the post-apocalyptic landscape of Villedor. That said, Dying Light 2's systems lend themselves to player ingenuity and players just need to keep an eye on social media for more tricks, especially from YouTubers and speedrunners.

Dying Light 2 is currently available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
