Dying Light 2 Stay Human is a survival horror game developed and published by Techland, where players use weapons and parkour skills to survive a zombie apocalypse. The game is set 20 years after the events of the first Dying Light, featuring a new protagonist named Aiden Caldwell and offers more customization options than before.

Dying Light 2 was announced back at E3 2018 and has been delayed multiple times. Now that it's 2022, players looking forward to Dying Light 2 will only have to wait a month before its official release of February 4, 2022. However, there was still some news about the game revealed before the New Year arrived.

The announcement comes from the official Dying Light Twitter account which revealed on December 31st that not only will Dying Light 2 have improved parkour and combat, it will have over 500 unique pieces of gear. This will provide players with many options for character customization in the game. The post doesn't provide any specific examples of the types of items, but it does show an image of one set of items players will be able to find in the game.

The general reaction to the post has been a mixture of shock and excitement as plenty of commenters were surprised Dying Light 2 will have that many items. Others voiced their enthusiasm for the prospect of being able to collect and use that many items in the game.

The Dying Light account posted another tweet a couple of days before that, which said the game will have 140 different weapons for players to use and will have more immersive combat too. There have been other video games that have had a large number of items and weapons for players to use and customize their characters. One notable example is the Borderlands series, where the games were heavily promoted having many guns and types of loot for players to acquire.

There was still more news about Dying Light that was revealed in the New Year. On Saturday, January 1st, the Dying Light account revealed that the Dying Light Platinum Edition was doing exceptionally well on Steam. Massive discounts for Dying Light are still available on Steam at the time of writing. This includes the Dying Light Enhanced Edition, Platinum Edition, Ultimate DLC Collection, and Techland's 30th Anniversary bundles.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is scheduled to release on February 4, 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
