Dying Light 2 is an action-horror RPG with survival elements. At times, it can be a surprisingly difficult game with expensive items that can be purchased from merchants. Unfortunately, the process of earning cash to buy new items can be time-consuming. This is easily remedied if one is willing to explore and loot the many rewards that can be found scattered throughout the city of Villedor.

Thankfully, there are Evacuation Convoys that are waiting to be discovered for the protagonist to clear. These sites offer valuable rewards such as weapons, loot, and more. As with everything else in the game, no reward comes without a risk. So clearing the Evacuation Convoys in Dying Light 2 can be a challenging endeavor for most players without the right strategy.

Clearing An Evacuation Convoy

The Evacuation Convoys were left behind by civilians that were trying to escape the city at the early stages of the virus pandemic. These convoys always contain valuable loot that the player is going to want to get their hands on as soon as possible. Unfortunately, there is always a high density of zombies in the area, making it tricky in the earlier stages of Dying Light 2.

Making sure that the protagonist Aiden is well-prepared for the zombie horde that surrounds the Evacuation Convoys are key to success. Stocking up on some major throwables will make crowd control a lot easier for the player. The items needed to handle the crowd near a convoy are as follows:

Defeating The Horde

Controlling the crowd of zombies is the best way to clear a large area occupied by large groups. So before going to one of the crate icons on the map, make sure that Aiden is stocked up with the above Dying Light 2 items.

With an Evacuation Convoy located, make sure that Aiden has the higher ground and stays out of sight of the horde. With a good position found, the player needs to throw decoys into one area and try to attract as many zombies to one spot as possible. It can take a few attempts as not all zombies will notice or take the bait at first. With the large group gathered in one place, hit them with Molotov cocktails to burn them all at once within the area of effect.

Unfortunately, there will likely be a few zombies remaining, and they'll start making their way toward Aiden. Now the player can use throwing knives, as they will kill most biters in one shot. If they get too close, however, make sure Aiden is armed with a two-handed blade to take down multiple enemies in quick succession and aim for the head. Make sure that weapons in Dying Light 2 are repaired and maintained beforehand.

Getting the Loot

With the area clear, Aiden will have to work quickly to locate and unlock the loot that's usually found in the back of a vehicle, APV, or a hidden room. Players will then need to pick the lock to obtain the loot. It's a good idea to make sure that the player is well-practiced in lock picking before attempting to gain entry in an Evacuation Convoy.

It's easy to panic by trying to rush the process of lock picking, but doing so will result in several broken/wasted lockpicks. Keep in mind that these Convoys will reset, so Aiden can return for more loot after a few day and night cycles have passed in Dying Light 2.
