As part of a series of at-home Q&A sessions being posted to Facebook, former WWE wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson said that an acting job he wanted but didn't get was the lead role in Jack Reacher. The 2012 film, adapted from the novel One Shot by Lee Child, instead stars Tom Cruise.

In the video uploaded Friday, Johnson explains the producer's choice by saying, "In Hollywood, actors are kind of like in a box. With the roles that are written there are a lot of actors you can buy in a particular role because it calls for them to have a certain look, color, size, etc." Fans have previously imagined Johnson in roles befitting his build like Kabal from Mortal Kombat 11.

However, on the flip side Johnson said that "fortunately for me, there's not a lot of guys in Hollywood who look like me." He's seen great success in roles like Luke Hobbs from the Fast and the Furious franchise, which had its next entry Fast 9 delayed due to coronavirus.
