While announcing he's completed work on DC's League of Super-Pets film, Dwayne Johnson also teased that the hierarchy of power is about to change when Black Adam enters the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). The DCEU was started with Zack Snyder's Man of Steel and looks to be continuing on despite a few actors appearing to drop out. Black Adam is one of the many films staying in the continuity.

Black Adam is slated to get his own solo film and Johnson has been keeping up fans to date in order to build anticipation for the film's official release. The film is slated to be one of many to make a splash at the DC Fandome event of 2021.

Black Adam is often considered a foil to Shazam and Superman who is able to hold his own against both. Black Adam has made several appearances in popular DC media, including animated movies, television shows, video games, and of course, comic books. He ranks as one of the strongest villains because he is able to take on most if not all of the Justice League and is, at times, seen as an anti-hero rather than a straight-up villain.

The news about Black Adam changing the hierarchy of power comes from Johnson's recent Instagram post, in which he confirms that the animated DC Super-Pets film has finished wrapping and re-confirms that he does the voice for the lead role, Krypto the Superdog. It's also cool to note that this means Johnson has roles in two upcoming DC projects, which is a good position to have when superhero films are all the craze.

The all-star cast of Super-Pets includes pets from superheroes such as Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and The Flash. There was a similar television show a while back that did well with kids and DC comic book fans alike. The movie looks to bring the same story back, but this time on the big screen.

Black Adam and the Super-Pets film will be one of many projects that will be getting teasers this October for the upcoming DC Fandome event. This is where DC showcases news about all of their upcoming content from a wide range of media.

Black Adam is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 29, 2022.
