Another YouTube channel has joined the illustrious tradition of online creators coming together to play Dungeons and Dragons adventures for an ongoing series. However, this show has its own twist to set it apart from similar series, like Critical Role or any other gaming channel that has delved into making their own adventures before.

Hosted by Joshua "Jovenshire" Ovenshire, best known as the co-creator of Smosh Games, this specific Dungeons and Dragons series will be pre-recorded and then acted out using puppets. This then leads into the name of the series, Stuff of Legends, as a pun on the fact that all of the characters and monsters are stuffed figures that will mime out the adventure played out during the play sessions.

So far the series has posted a short trailer for what viewers can expect to see on the Jovenshire YouTube channel, which has also announced when the first episode will be airing. Fans can check out Stuff of Legends on Tuesday, February 2, and then the series will have new episodes every Tuesday moving forward. The show also promises to have puppets not only crafted for each of the players that will be going on this adventure, but also for Dungeons and Dragons' monsters and enemies that are set to appear throughout each session.

This isn't the first time that Jovenshire has hosted a Dungeons and Dragons series, so this new show will likely be free of many of the growing pains of learning how to organize an episodic adventure. The previous adventure can also be sound on the Jovenshire YouTube channel, to give new viewers an idea of what to expect from Stuff of Legends before it launches in full. There's plenty that players can learn for how to run a Dungeons and Dragons adventure as well, for upcoming Dungeon Masters looking to branch out for their own adventuring parties.

It takes a lot to stand out among the collection of channels, both on YouTube and Twitch, that host their own Dungeons and Dragons adventures, usually reaching out at the request of their already dedicated fanbase. However, it looks like Stuff of Legends may be taking the HarmonQuest route by taking the adventure and putting a unique twist on the presentation to branch out to a wider audience. The hope is likely that fans of Dungeons and Dragons live events will come for the puppet gimmick and stay because Jovenshire and the gathered adventurers are enjoyable enough to follow on their questing.

Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Allegiance is set to release for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One in 2021.
