Today, an Amazon listing went up for the new Rose Gold PS4 DualShock 4 Controller. The DualShock 4 with a rose gold sheen will cost players $64.99 to preorder with a set release date of October 1, 2019.

This is the first of Sony's impressive new lineup of PlayStation 4 controllers due out this fall. The other colors include Titanium Blue, Electric Purple, and Red Camouflage and will be announced later this year, likely soon if they are all due out over the next handful of months. If Rose Gold is a teaser for what's to come, it is likely the others will be up for preorder shortly with all the releases set on the same day.

Rose Gold, a palette popularized by Apple, is a mix of gold and copper which gives it the distinct rose tint. The new PlayStation 4 controller is given a look that is both metallic and colorful.

Considering the PlayStation 5 is on its way, it's a risky choice to release these controllers so late in the console cycle, when most gamers know that new platforms are just around the corner. Especially without adding any new functionality or customization like the Xbox One Elite controller. Luckily, unlike the Elite's massive price tag, the Rose Gold DualShock 4 stays well within a comfortable range for a brand new controller.
