Originally positioned to be Sony's first major "next-gen" leap into the racing genre, Driveclub ultimately suffered through multiple delays and a less than stellar launch due to a bevy of online and server issues. These server issues kept some players from getting online at all, while others were getting dropped completely from online events.

With the issues seemingly now behind the racing game and premium DLC given to players for free as an apology, Evolution Studios has jumped headfirst into supporting Driveclub beyond its launch window with more content and cars for players to enjoy. Earlier today, the developer announced and teased the next major content coming to players later this month.

In a new video up on Evolution's YouTube Channel, the Lamborghini Expansion Pack plans to introduce four new cars, all from the Lamborghini line, to Driveclub. When the pack releases later in March, players will be able to drive around in the likes of the Veneno, Aventador LP 720-4 50° Anniversario, Huracán LP 610-4, and the Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse. These cars will be available to players to use in single events, online and they'll also be featured in their own brand new campaign tour.

There's no denying that Driveclub was a mess when it launched and through the months that followed. Since that time, the team at Evolution Studios appear to have solved the game's connection and server woes and have been adding more and more content each month. So far, each piece of downloadable content not only adds more content for gamers, but it also slightly changes the core experience. With new racing locations like Japan that gave the game a different look and feel to the dynamic weather system that completely changed the course of a race, Driveclub is a much different game now than when it first launched.

Evolution has worked hard to improve and keep the game fresh since launch, introducing new content for the game every month with some of it even being free. The developer continues to evolve the game beyond what first launched in an effort to improve the game's life and keep fans happy. Still, their work is not done as they strive towards releasing the promised PlayStation Plus edition, which was just reconfirmed by Sony about a week ago.

The Lamborghini Expansion Pack launches for Driveclub later this month and is part of the Season Pass. No price point or specific release date has been announced yet.
