With the continual progress of Sony's Dreams, it seems as if the imagination of the creator is their only limitation. A huge update has allowed VR functionality for Dreams, which means a new wave of creativity is sure to be on the way, and one person has already gotten started.

A YouTuber named MonocledRobot has already released a remarkable VR game inside of Dreams. This creation is based on perhaps the most popular and well-received VR game yet, Beat Saber.

In just a few short days after the VR update for Dreams, MonocledRobot managed to recreate one of the best VR games of 2019. The uploaded video is beautiful, and certainly captures the nature of Beat Saber, from the music to the gameplay.

Beat Saber VR has received updates and content since it launched, and it is often pointed at as a marquee arcade-style game in VR. The polish and fun of the game is undeniable. The Dreams creation of Beat Saber may not have quite the flair or features of the original, but it's very impressive that someone managed to recreate this loved game so quickly with the VR functionality of Dreams. If nothing else, it shows what talented people can come up with with this new VR game creator.

Not only is this game playable inside of Dreams, but the YouTuber also uploaded a massive tutorial video. The Dreams version of Beat Saber has instantly become a teaching tool for other creators. Learning how to make games in Dreams is not necessarily easy, so help from the community is much appreciated, especially with the VR update.

As the community continues to evolve, it will be fascinating to see what people create inside of Dreams, and now specifically the VR aspect of Dreams. While recreating some of the best games, like Ghost of Tsushima, inside of Dreams is awesome, the totally original ideas are the ones that may have a bigger impact on gaming as a whole. There are popular game series that made their start in flash games on websites in the early 2000s, for example, so it would be amazing to see some video game franchise start on Dreams and become their own games with long lifespans and millions of fans.

Media Molecule's Dreams has already won some Game of the Year awards, and for good reason. The toolbox is there for insanely creative people to make masterpieces. Beat Saber in Dreams is just the start of the VR fun.

Dreams is available on PS4.
