The community-focused creation game Dreams has finally added an audio import feature, allowing players to further customize their stunning creations and recreations in the PlayStation 4 exclusive.

It's amazing to see what the Dreams community has accomplished since its first birthday, from famous Disneyland rides to the fictional worlds of other video games. Unlike Media Molecule's other titles, players don't edit the levels in an existing game in Dreams. Instead, they can essentially make their own entire game with the mechanic of Dreams, or recreate another one, such as Crash Bandicoot or Sonic, as many fans have done. But it's not just creating platformers; Dreams players have created puzzle games, remade Undertale, and basically anything that they can dream of.

Looking ahead, nothing rounds out the Dreams experience better than being able to import audio files, courtesy of its newest update. This brings the game up to version 2.22 and will allow players to add the final touches of sound effects, soundtracks, and voiceovers into their personalized worlds.

After installing the Dreams update, head over to indreams.me, the official site for Dreams, to record or import audio content. The importer has the ability to trim and fade recordings as well as clean up the audio quality before dropping it into a creation in Dreams.

There are, of course, rules about importing audio, the most important one being that this is for importing completely original sound, meaning not even snippets of copywritten music should be imported into the PS4 exclusive. Additionally, players must be level 30 or above in Dreams to use the audio importer, and the amount of audio that can be uploaded per day is limited depending on the level.

Dreams is out now exclusively for the PS4.
