Ever since its early access launch back in April of 2019, Dreams has slowly become a popular platform for players to build their own creations. With the amount of traction the platform has gained, Media Molecule has put out a new mode to showcase what Dreams is capable of.

Dreams is a game creation tool for the PlayStation 4 developed by Media Molecule and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Dreams has been in early access for close to a year, but the full version of the game is set to release on February 14th, 2020.

As the release date for the full game draws closer and closer, Media Molecule decided to put out a story mode for players to enjoy called "Art's Dream." This is a short 2-3 hour mode that features a number of different gameplay mechanics intended to demonstrate to players what they could potentially create using Dreams.

This mode features charming characters, great voice acting, and a wide variety of different gameplay mechanics intended to show the full potential of what players can expect from the full game. In addition, those who already own the early access version of the game received the full version of Dreams ahead of its initial release.

The amount of unique creations that players have already made using Dreams is absolutely remarkable. Players have recreated entire scenes from various movies and video games with one player even going so far as to recreate an entire gameplay segment from The Last of Us 2 with PlayStation 1 style graphics. This game truly has the potential to bring players together in the same vein as the modding community on Steam.

With all of this being said, it's hard to predict the longevity of a game like this. A little over six years ago, Microsoft put out a game similar to Dreams titled Project Spark which was intended to be a game creation tool, but after a mere two years, the game was taken off the market and is no longer available for commercial sale. However, given the large range of Dreams creations that players have already released, this game seems to be a much more fleshed out and fully realized version of what players were likely expecting from Project Spark. With the release of "Art's Dream", Dreams will hopefully encourage players to push the limits of the platform even more.

Dreams is set to release on February 14th, 2020 for the PlayStation 4.
