Dream confuses fans with a cryptic message, "23?" and causes several relating phrases to trend, but shortly after, the cartoonish Minecraft YouTuber revealed the meaning behind the message.

Alongside YouTubers like Corpse Husband, Dream is one of the biggest faceless content creators currently making videos. Though he was accused of cheating by a major speedrun website, 2020 was still a huge success for Dream, who was noted as the breakout creator of 2020 by YouTube. This is largely because he runs a private multiplayer Minecraft server known as the Dream SMP server. But much like Corpse's musical fame on TikTok, the faceless YouTuber has also dived into the world of music creation earlier this year with his first single "Roadtrip," and now it looks like fans can look forward to another single from Dream.

On Dream's private Twitter, @dreamhangout, he posted a mysterious but brief tweet: "23?" This tiny message sent his fans everywhere into a frenzy, questioning what the suggestion meant. Many turned to time, thinking that "23" referred to minutes, hours, or days before something big happened. Some thought it perhaps referred to his age which, like Dream's true identity, remains a mystery.

That tiny but cryptic message posted by the Minecraft YouTuber was enough to get several phrases trending on the social media website, including "23 WHAT," "23 HOURS," and "23 DAYS," but only one of them guessed the true meaning behind the message correctly, "THE 23RD."

The number 23, the YouTuber later revealed in another tweet from his private Twitter account, refers to the possible date he'll release his next single on. Teasing the new song "Mask," Dream posted a short clip of the song as well, with the caption "'Mask' on April 23rd? maybe..." And some lyrics about the meaning of the song can be heard: "That's what the point of the mask is."

Last month, a clip from his new song "Mask" was also teased with lyrics calling back to being judged by strangers on the internet. It seems that the core of "Mask" will dive into why content creators like Dream and Corpse Husband choose to hide their faces. While the latter has said that he simply doesn't like his face, using a mask and hiding their real names and information gives them the "luxury of living a private life," but that hasn't stopped crazed fans from attempting to find Dream's real face and home address online.

Other fans also pointed out that April 25 is the anniversary of Dream's SMP Minecraft server, meaning the potential for big events with his community.
