DrDisRespect is one of the most popular Twitch streamers, but that fame comes with some risks. In the past, DrDisRespect has been swatted, and shots have been fired at his house multiple times. The latest incident with DrDisRespect is thankfully not life-threatening, but is still a serious situation nevertheless.

While DrDisRespect was streaming Fortnite, he was notified by those in his Twitch chat that his Twitter had been hacked and was tweeting strange messages. In one of these messages, the hacker even threatened to release video of DrDisRespect cheating on his wife, claiming that it was in the streamer's iCloud. DrDisRespect's Twitch chat was also hacked, though he was apparently able to keep streaming during the ordeal.

The situation has since been resolved, with DrDisRespect's accounts returned to him. DrDisRespect has brushed off the hack. "It was a simple sim card hack," he said in a tweet. "Not a big deal...outdated 1998 technique." DrDisRespect then deleted all of the tweets that were made on his account during the hack.

As previously stated, the hacker used his time with DrDisRespect's Twitter account to make fun of the situation where DrDisRespect cheated on his wife. The streamer admitted to being "unfaithful" in a stream to his viewers where he broken down crying. He then took some time off from streaming to focus on his family.

When DrDisRespect returned to Twitch, so many people tried to watch that Twitch crashed. His popularity has persisted since then, and he remains one of the platform's top streamers, mainly streaming battle royale games. One of his main competitors on Twitch is Ninja, who was sent a vulgar tweet by the DrDisRespect Twitter account during the hack.

Moving forward, DrDisRespect will likely continue to find himself a target due to his celebrity status. It's unfortunate, but hopefully the future incidents with DrDisRespect don't involve violence and potential threats on his life like some have in the past.
