A new trailer for Bandai Namco's Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was revealed at the Tokyo Game Show today. Ever since the announcement of the game, it has been often wondered whether Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will cover every saga featured in Dragon Ball Z. At first, it was confirmed that the game will reach the Frieza saga, then later the Cell saga. It wasn't clear if the game would reach to the Buu saga, but luckily, the latest trailer finally brings an answer to this question.

The Tokyo Game Show trailer for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot confirms that the game will cover the events of the Buu Arc, which means that it will feature the full range of Dragon Ball Z sagas. Although it is nice to finally have an official confirmation, the inclusion of the Buu saga is not at all surprising given that a DBZ: Kakarot's voice actor already confirmed this information. The preview also revealed the upcoming game's worldwide release, which will be on January 17, 2020.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's latest footage showcased some iconic highlights moments such as Gohan transforming to Super Saiyan 2, Goku defeating Frieza, and a brief appearance from Majin Buu. Now that it is confirmed that the game will reach the Buu saga, then players can expect a pretty lengthy adventure, given that the Buu arc takes place near the end of Dragon Ball Z's story.

A couple of weeks ago, anime company Funimation became trending on Twitter after inappropriate audio recordings were leaked online. The controversy involves Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's English voice actors, specifically Sean Schemmel, who was heard making homophobic remarks. Before the latest trailer confirming the game's release date, it has been wondered whether the controversy would affect Kakarot's release schedule. However, it appears that it is business as usual for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's development team, though it is unclear whether Schemmel's voice contributions will be pulled from the game.

Meanwhile, for players who are interested in getting a copy of the game once it releases next year, Amazon is currently offering a good pre-order deal for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. Normally, a pre-order of the game cost around $59.99, but Amazon is offering $10 off, so players can pre-order the game for a cheaper price of $49.94.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is set to release on January 17, 2020, for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
