Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be chock full of original and filler content, with players able to drive cars, ride a bipedal robot, and encounter a completely original character known as Bonyu. For many diehards of the franchise, its these moments that stand out, especially when they've either been skipped over or have rarely appeared in past video games. Now, publisher Bandai Namco has revealed one part of the anime featuring Raditz that has rarely been seen in games before will be appear in DBZ: Kakarot.

When Raditz first arrives on Earth, he is met by a simple farmer wielding a shotgun. This farmer has a ton of cameos throughout the franchise, but this is his first appearance and defining moment. Raditz then uses his scanner to determine that the farmer's power level is just 5, with the farmer shooting at him just a moment later. Raditz catches the shot and flicks it back at him before flying off in pursuit of Kakarot, with this moment appearing in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.

While this moment is in the anime, it's hardly been seen in video games before. Prior to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, he appears in Dragon Ball Z: Super Saiyan Densetsu, Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans, and in Dragon Ball Online. However, none of these moments are as detailed or as accurate as the depiction in DBZ: Kakarot (which can be seen below), which just goes to show how involved Bandai Namco Entertainment and CyberConnect 2 are with this project.

It'll be interesting to see if the Farmer with a shotgun's later cameos also appear. He later appears in the Cell Saga where he accidentally fires at Android 20 while hunting, then in the Great Saiyaman saga as Gohan zooms past him. His last appearance in the anime is during the Kid Buu Saga where he is seen simply eating a bed roll. It's been debated whether or not these are the same character before, but it certainly seems like it.

In the bigger picture, this is also just the latest in a series of reveals for the upcoming action RPG. Recently, the full Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot world map was also revealed, showcasing every major city and minor village, like Yamcha's, that will have some role in the game.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is set to release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on January 17, 2020.
