As players make their way through the recently-released Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, they will get a chance to take control of a number of characters, including Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta, and more. That said, some fans may still wish that the list of playable characters in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was a bit longer and included the game's numerous support characters, and it is exactly this desire that a brand new mod looks to address.

This Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot mod, which was created by Mastaklo and is available for download on the Kakarot Mods website, extends the title's playable characters to include primary support characters Krillin, Chiaotzu, Tien, and Yamcha. Additionally, the mod allows players to freely take control of Kid Trunks, Goten, and Android 18, all of whom can be unlocked as support characters once players reach Kakarot's post-game.

While having access to more playable characters is something that some players will certainly be interested in, it is important to note that this mod is only available to those playing Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot on PC. This may be slightly disappointing to players that have a copy of the game for PS4 or Xbox One, but these fans can at least witness the mod in action by watching the video featured here.

For players that may not be interested in making Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's support characters playable, there are already a number of other mods available for the game as well. For instance, one particular Kakarot mod turns Goku into the goose from the indie hit Untitled Goose Game, while another adds CJ from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to the title. Indeed, these mods primarily exist to bring a bit of additional humor to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, but they are worth mentioning none the less.

With Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's release date not even a week in the past, some fans will certainly be impressed to see the level of quality and creativity that players are bringing to these preliminary mods. What has already been achieved by the community certainly seems to suggest that the future of Dragon Ball: Kakarot modding is a bright one, and players should expect mods that allow for costume swaps and more in the not too distant future.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
