Bandai Namco's upcoming story-based RPG, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, was first announced at E3 this year. Now, two new trailers for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot have been unveiled, giving players a glimpse of Goku fishing, together with details on combat mechanics and story.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be focusing on a single-player experience, allowing players to go through Goku's (birth name Kakarot) adventures in Dragon Ball Z. Although combat will play a big role in the upcoming game, Bandai Namco revealed that players will be given a chance to explore the game's world and live as Goku through fishing, flying, eating, and training.

While both trailers were short, running at 30 seconds each, they were able to give players a sneak peek of the game's overall look. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is being developed by Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 in Japan. Just last month, Bandai Namco revealed that apart from Goku, other Dragon Ball Z characters such as Gohan, Piccolo, and Vegeta will also be playable in the game. Although no specific details were released, it is likely that players will be able to control the other playable characters at certain points in the game to further expand and flesh out their own stories.

As for the game's combat mechanic, the developers have previously showcased a short battle sequence in the game featuring an early fight in Dragon Ball Z. It is likely that the battle between Goku and Raditz will be one of the first major battles in the upcoming game, giving players a glimpse of how boss battles work in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.

As of the moment, it is currently unknown how far Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will go into Dragon Ball Z's extensive storyline. However, Bandai Namco revealed in its official description of the game that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will see the resolution of unanswered questions from Dragon Ball Z through light-hearted side quests.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will release early 2020 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
