Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is slowly starting to roll out more and more details about its upcoming DLC 3, and the latest shows new screenshots of both Future Gohan and Future Trunks. From the looks of it, Future Gohan is doing battle against the Androids, as 17 and 18 will be the primary antagonists in this DLC. In another image, a young Future Trunks looks over a decrepit city, the haunting image of a destroyed Capsule Corp looming in the background. While it doesn't give players much information about what to expect from the DLC or when exactly it might release, it does set the tone for the adventure.

For the most part, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and Dragon Ball Z as a whole are relatively light hearted. There are emotional moments, and sometimes characters do die, but there's always the hope that they might be wished back alive with the titular Dragon Balls. In Future Trunks' timeline, this isn't an option, as Piccolo dies early on meaning the Earth's Dragon Balls are destroyed along with him.

These screenshots come by way of Dragon Ball Hype, a credible Dragon Ball reporter that frequently shares news about developments in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. These three screenshots may not be much, but they are leagues better than the complete silence that fans have grown used to. Over the past year and some odd months, Bandai Namco has kept the status of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's DLCs under lock and key, only revealing them weeks before the official release.

This is a nice change of pace for those fans that have been eagerly awaiting any sort of news about DLC 3. What's more, fans now know that Future Gohan will be a completely different character than Adult Gohan, and it's possible that the same will hold true for the younger variant of Future Trunks. While the story is sure to be a heart wrenching one, even the scenery conveys a certain sadness. Flying over the remains of what's left of Earth knowing that Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Krillin, and all the others are dead is certain to evoke some strong feelings.

At the moment, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC 3 is scheduled for release in the Summer of 2021, so fans still have a little while to wait. Between the World Flight showcase and rumors about even more additions, Bandai Namco may be a bit more vocal during that wait than it has in the past.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
