Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, the upcoming action-RPG by Bandai Namco was initially unveiled at E3 2019. The game will take players all throughout the story of the Dragon Ball Z series featuring protagonist Goku. Ever since the E3 reveal, Bandai Namco has been releasing tons of information about Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, through several gameplay footages.
Several months ago, Bandai Namco confirmed that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be releasing on January 17, 2020, and pre-orders for the game are currently available right now. Of course, with Black Friday just a day away, a couple of retailers are offering discounts for the pre-order of the upcoming game.
Currently, Amazon and Walmart are the retailers offering the cheapest pre-order price for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. Both stores are offering the game for $49.94 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. While the discount is not massive, it is still a good price for a pre-order of a triple-A game that usually goes for $59.99. Players interested in purchasing the game anyway will want to take this chance now and pre-order Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot for a cheaper price while it's still available.
- Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot (PS4 | Xbox One) via Amazon - $49.94
- Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot (PS4 | Xbox One) via Walmart - $49.94
Players who pre-order Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be rewarded with bonus content including a sub-quest called "A Competitive Party with Friends," early access to Bonyu's training, and 1 cooking item. Meanwhile, Bandai Namco released the game's entire map several weeks ago, showcasing how serious the developers were when it labeled the game as "open-world." The entire map consists of the planet Earth, which will include nineteen smaller locations for the player to explore.
Unfortunately for Dragon Ball fans who own a Switch, Bandai Namco confirmed that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot won't be making its way on the Nintendo Switch and will only release on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It wasn't made clear why the game won't be released to the Switch in January, but the developer made no mention of whether the game may be ported sometime after its release.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is set to release on January 17, 2020, for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
